A 38 year old farmer, Aliyu Adamu, was, on Friday, remanded in prison custody by a Sokoto Magistrate's court, for the murder of one Nura Isiah, whom he stabbed to death.
Aliyu was said to have conspired with two others, Guti Mohammed and Lukman Soja, who are now at large, to carry out the horrible act. According to reports, he went to the deceased shop at Old Market and stabbed him in the stomach, after which he was rushed to the Specialist Hospital, Sokoto, where he was confirmed dead.
Aliyu Adamu, who is now facing a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide, punishable under section 94 and 224 of the penal code law, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
