IGALA: WE ARE NOT PART OF BIAFRA

The Igala socio-cultural group has described the inclusion of Igala land as part of Biafra as an insult to the sensibility of the people.

Igala land is in the Eastern part of Kogi state sharing border with Anambra state.

The group at a press briefing in Lokoja on Wednesday said that including Igala land on the paper was not only insulting but also provocative to the Igala race.

LAGOS—The 19-year-old teenager, who was arrested for attempting to kill her two-month-old baby in Ikorodu area of Lagos on Monday, has absconded with the baby again.

Vanguard reported that the teenaged nursing mother, Adebayo Ayomide, gagged the baby, dumped her in a bush in Ikorodu to die and fled to Bariga.

1 DEAD, 2 INJURED IN LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY ACCIDENT

One person was feared dead, while two others sustained injuries, yesterday, in an early morning accident along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The accident reportedly occurred at about 5.30am around Mountain Top University inward Lagos, between an unmarked Mercedes Truck and a yellow Howo Snot truck with number plates LAGOS FKJ 717 XF.

RAINSTORMS CLAIMS LIVES OF 9 CHILDREN IN NIGER

9 children in Niger have lost their lives due to the collapse of houses cause by very severe rainstorms in the capital Niamey.

As reported by the secretary general of the local authorities, Zourkaleini Maiga, the children were killed as buildings in different parts of the city collapsed. One of the main markets were destroyed, alongside two radio stations, Tele-Sahel and Tal-TV which went off air after the studios got flooded.
