PARENTS PAY 10 MILLION NAIRA RANSOM FOR RELEASE OF KIDNAPPED STUDENTS

Six secondary school students of Lagos Model College, Igbonla, Epe who were kidnapped are set to be released by their kidnappers after they collected a ransom of 10 million naira.

According to reports, America, who was the leader of the kidnappers, and his gang eventually collected 10 million naira from the parents of the students around 8pm yesterday evening and were expected to set them free after that.

2 CHILDREN KILLED, 5 OTHERS INJURED, IN ADAMAWA BLAST

The Chairman of Hong Local Government in Adamawa, Alhaji Haliru Lala, has confirmed the death of two children in a blast in Fadaman-Rake Village.

Lala told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Yola that five others were also injured in the incident which occurred late on Thursday evening.

WOMAN FINALLY KILLED BY BOYFRIEND WHO EARLIER ATTEMPTED TO THROW HER OFF A BRIDGE WEEKS AGO

Zama, 31, who was rescued by a passerby few weeks ago, when her boyfriend, Ayanda Nkosi, 32, tried to throw her over the bridge at Jozini Dam in South Africa, was not so lucky when Ayanda allegedly stormed into her rented house in Jozini, northern KZN, on Friday night and fired bullets into her body. 

Ayanda, who was originally from Hluhluwe, is believed to have shot himself after killing his girlfriend. Both of them died on the spot. A friend who lives in the neighborhood said they rushed to the scene on Friday night after hearing the gunshots and found the bodies of both of them lying on the floor, bleeding profusely.

Popular model, actress and singer, Mary J Blige has been ordered to pay ex-husband and former manager, Martin 'Kendu' Isaacs the sum of $30,000, which is equivalent to 10 million naira, every month, in temporary spousal support. 

The couple, who had no children together, had been married for 13 years, after which Mary J. Blige filed for a divorce in July 2016. She argued their prenuptial agreement negated spousal support, while Isaacs was originally seeking $129,319 per month.

NIGERIAN SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT BY US COURT, FOR MURDER

A young Nigerian businessman, Ezeoma Chigozie Obioha, has been sentenced to life imprisonment without parole, during a court hearing on Monday.

The 32 year old man was sentenced for the murder of a woman, Carrie Jean Melvin, who was shot in the face with a shotgun as she walked into a restaurant in Hollywood with her boyfriend back in 2015.

Obioha showed no emotion, as the sentence was passed. The deceased's relatives told the court that her death had upended their lives, as reported by ktla.com.

MAN, 54, MURDERS MATE AT JEHOVAH WITNESS' HALL

A 54 year old man, Keith Beviss, of Woodhayes Drive, Honiton has been charged with murder for killing 55 year old electrician, Philip Ryan.

Philip Ryan was found with several stab wounds on his body, inside the hall in Honiton on Tuesday afternoon.

WOMAN CONSPIRES WITH LOVER TO KILL HUSBAND

A German-based Kenyan woman, Armina A, who conspired, with her boyfriend known as Jan D, to kill her husband in September 2016, has appeared in court to answer for her crimes. 

The court documents show how Armina and her lover had planned the murder of her husband, Ekkehart H, carefully laying down all the plans of the murder, as reported by the German Newspaper, Bild.
