According to information gathered, Mrs. Tawakalitu Rafiu, the mother of the boy, had left him and his five siblings in the custody of a fellow tenant, at their residence at Sotunyo street, Soso bus stop, on Wednesday.
The boy's mother returned and could not find him anywhere, and as she made inquiries, she learned that the boy had been lured to the church by a Pastor. Unknown to the Pastor,one of the boy's sibling had spotted him as he lured the Kazeem away.
A source, who pleaded anonymity, said nemesis caught up with the pastor on his way back to the community in the early hours of yesterday, when he was stopped by the local vigilante group for loitering.
The Pastor confessed that he sold the boy for N130,000, and that the boy was to be used for rituals by 4pm at Ikorodu First Gate.
Armed with the information, policemen from Ogijo Division were invited to the scene, but they didn't get there until 4.05 a.m.
One individual, who was apprehended, confessed that the boy's dismembered body was in the prophet's custody at Oju-Odo.
An eyewitness, Madam Idiat Akani, said Police swung into action only to discover that the head had been buried in a shallow grave within the Church’s uncompleted building, while other parts of the body were packed in a polythene bag.
