The offences was said to have been committed by Adekunle on the Ist of October, 2010 at Abesan Estate, Ipaja, according to the prosecutor, Sgt Joseph Ajebe
The accused was said to have approached Mrs. Peace Udom to help him acquire a visa, for which the woman charged him 650,000 naira, which he willingly agreed to pay, according to the prosecutor.
“After the complainant was through with the visa, the accused cunningly collected it from her without giving her a dime. The accused traveled out of the country without paying for the service she rendered to him.
“Some years later, when the complainant heard that the accused had returned, she brought some policemen to his house to arrest him,” he said.
The offences contravene sections 280 and 313 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Alexander Komolafe, granted the accused N700,000 bail with two sureties in like sum, after he pleaded, 'not guilty'.
The case was adjourned till June 19, by the Magistrate.
